Stage 3: Ka-Bangsaan (Collective Integrity)

After building self-awareness (Stage 1) and social ethics (Stage 2), the journey continues to collective integrity. The concept of KA-BANGSAAN ANU BULEUD (A Whole/Round Nationhood) is not narrow political nationalism, but an ONTOLOGICAL INTEGRITY—loyalty to the essence, form, and true function of ourselves, both as individuals and as a nation.

The main analogy is the DIRI SAKUJUR (the entire body). The hands, feet, eyes, and mouth have different forms and functions (BHINNEKA), yet they all move in harmonious unity because they are animated by the same single consciousness (KURING) (TUNGGAL IKA). Likewise, the diversity of ethnic groups and cultures is an organ of one national body which is inspired by one Indonesian soul.

A nation that loses its identity, that only imitates other nations, is likened to "HAYAM KONGKORONGOK MERI" (a chicken that quacks like a duck). It has lost its uniqueness and the sovereignty of its soul.

THE ELEVEN PILLARS OF HUMAN CIVILIZATION

A whole (BULEUD) nation stands on the sturdy pillars of civilization. This is the architectural blueprint of a complete civilization, moving from the foundation of communication to the peak of spiritual consciousness:

Pillar Brief Description
1. Language The unifying thread of the collective soul. The most essential medium for inheriting values and marking identity.
2. Script The eternal trace of knowledge. Not just formal writing, but also "symbolic script" like SAJEN (offerings) which function as a "living book" or "language of the realm".
3. Personal Order The foundation of national character, aiming to birth the COMPLETE HUMAN (Cageur, Bageur, Bener, Pinter, Singer) who has found the KURING (True Self).
4. Family Order The womb of culture and the first school of civilization, where children learn customs and values through example.
5. Social Order Harmony in togetherness (Gotong Royong, Musyawarah) based on universal compassionate ethics (Stage 2).
6. Arts The expression of the collective soul's beauty (Ka-endahan). A medium to convey identity, spirituality, and historical narratives (e.g., Wayang).
7. Economy Welfare based on local wisdom and social justice. Siding with the oppressed and in harmony with nature (e.g., Leuit/Rice Barn).
8. Politics Governance based on self-awareness (Stage 1) and deliberation (Stage 4). A reflection of good self-governance.
9. Philosophy The compass of civilization. Its peak is the sacred trilogy KAMI-KAMA-NUSA (True Self - Essence of Life - Homeland/Body), uniting Self, Life, and Nation.
10. Knowledge The legacy of wisdom (ETHNOSCIENCE) sourced from the "open holy book," the universe itself.
11. Belief The source of all pillars. The direct GNOSIS experience of KA-TUHANAN (Stage 1) which is immanent and universal, transcending formal religious divides.

PANCA BYAPARA: THE UNITY OF HUMAN AND NATURE

The philosophical foundation of this national order is PANCA BYAPARA, a concept from SSK stating that humans are a microcosm—a miniature reflection of the universe (macrocosm). The human body is formed from the same five core elements as nature:

  • Pretiwi (Earth) becomes skin and flesh.
  • Apah (Water) becomes blood and body fluids.
  • Teja (Fire/Light) becomes body heat and the light in the eyes.
  • Bayu (Air) becomes breath and energy.
  • Akasa (Space/Ether) becomes the cavities within the body.

This awareness gives birth to an inherent ECOLOGICAL ETHIC. Damaging nature (Nusa) is, in essence, an act of damaging oneself (Raga/Kurung). This is the highest form of KA-BANGSAAN: the consciousness that we are an inseparable unity with the homeland we stand on.
